Our new short “Dead Sucks” is an official selection of this year’s Horror UK Film & Literary Festival set to run this October over Halloween weekend as part of the “28 Hours Later Horror Marathon”. DEAD SUCKS the newest short film from BiFF JUGGERNAUT Productions will be making its world premiere at Philadelphia's Backseat Film Festival this Saturday, March 14th. The film, about a sleep-deprived, loser vampire is written and directed by yours truly and is intended as the introduction to a feature-length film of t...he same name for which we're seeking additional financing. The "Dead Sucks" short introduces Burt, a wayward vampire with a messy past, an uncertain future and a disproportionate need for sleep. Rejected by both humans and his own kind, he searches to find his place in a world where the only thing that sucks more than being alive is being dead.
I'll be there with some of the cast & crew. The same evening director Adam Rifkin will be presenting his new film "Homo Erectus" as well as the cult classic "The Dark Backward"!
I'd also like to mention that many friends and collaborators from "Dead Sucks" as well as our prior horror anthology "LovecraCked! The Movie" will be screening new shorts in the same program along side ours - most of which I have had the pleasure of seeing already, and trust me when I say they are all very much worth checking out. Look for "Heading Home" by Jane Rose, "A Clown Carol" by Brian A. Bernhard, "Cottonmouth" by Christopher Garetano, and "Even" by Ben Jurin.
