Deer Hill Expeditions The snow is coming to Colorado - big time! Can you believe Deer Hill was snowboarding in 30 inches of powder on Sunday. Thank you Wolf Creek! But how we miss those long summer days and all the amazing people we met in the wilderness, at service, and at Basecamp.

Deer Hill Expeditions Twas not so long ago that Miles and Lindsay and their little flock journeying across CR, checking out San Jose, exploring the Cloud Forest, rafting the wild Pacuare, making friends in Tres Equis, playing soccer in the rain, MAFIA!, hanging with monkeys, LOVING beach camping in the rain, shredding the surf, chilling in Punta Mona, and generally having a jolly good time!

Deer Hill Expeditions Over the years there have been several incarnations of the Deer Hill logo: "the recumbent deer", "the leaping deer". Now, we proudly introduce our new logo, celebrating 25 years of adventure and service in the Southwest and Central America. We're calling it "the swimming deer"!

Deer Hill Expeditions Green River rafting, floating lunches, big waves, climbing along the river, paco sumo, to Hopi with Kenny and the granddaughters, working on the spring, home renovations in the pueblo, chopping wood for an elder, the Homedance, climbing outside Telluride, mountain biking, Maverick's Loop, Basecamp, Sweat Lodge, banquet, slideshow... and home. Phew! Thanks everyone for another incredible Southwest Journey.
Deer Hill Expeditions Our most epic mountain program, with an 18-day expedition, traversing the largest Wilderness in Colorado from South to North. Comedy marmots, Circles with a view, tough climbs, freezing freshwater bathing, great weather (apart from the hail!), hysterical fits of laughter - lots to remember. Thanks to everyone!

Deer Hill Expeditions What a fun program this was! From rafting the river, to building a lambing shed for Grandma Charley in Low Mountain on the Navajo Nation, to taking part in a traditional sheep slaughter, to exploring the San Juan mountains in Colorado, climbing Centennial Peak. Thanks to everyone in the group for making it such a success. We'll miss you!

Photos from Canyon Country 09. This was one of our most awesome itineraries, starting with a week spent rafting the upper and lower San Juan River. Then the group left their boats on the river to backpack out up Grand Gulch, one of the most spectacular canyons in Cedar Mesa, Utah. Then they transitioned to Second Mesa ……in Hopi, where they worked with the community whitewashing a plaza in Shungopavi Pueblo, repaired traditional mud bread ovens, and completed a Hopi silversmithing workshop with their host, before returning to Basecamp. （更多内容）
