I wish Defenders could go more public! They're non-profit though and rely on donations to pay for their lawyers to fight in Washington, that's gotta cost a bundle and they have sooo many things going on right now, global warming, the wolves, the sea turtles and otters, the polar bears and penguins, and the list goes on, and unfortunately it may never ... I am constantly taking Defender actions, but I think their legal work -- along with that of several other organizations such as Earthjustice -- is superlative. Keep it up, guys!

but if man has already re-introduced them, perhaps we are the ones responsible; the wolves are the innocent victims here, as well as the ranchers/wolf haters, whatever; humans must take responsibility for our own decisions. The wolves will be extinct, along with the rest of the animal world, if opinions like yours("let nature take care of itself") prevail.

You go, Debbie! Or we can have Sarah Palin take responsibility. She took on the Russians, sex education, government spending, and energy (oil) single-handedly. What a woman!

Dianne - I am an Australian. Rabbits, foxes, carp, cane toads and crown of thorns starfish are but a few of the more notable pests that have been introduced by European settlers to our country.
