DelGrads F'awesome Facebook group for current UD kids! (And a fun read for alumni.)
We've all been there. You're walking to class, minding your own business, when someone walks past and says something so ridiculous, so inappropriate, or so stupid that you feel like telling the world ...

Over the last few days campus has become a sea of red, white and blue. It’s not Memorial Day, or the Fourth of July — it’s the World Series, and the Philadelphia Phillies are battling the New York Yankees.

DelGrads Any Homecoming reports?

DelGrads Everyone have a fun, safe, but even more fun Homecoming / Halloween weekend!

This was either Halloween '93 or '94, when my friend Monica was doing an internship or something for the Newark Business Association... ...for kids, they put together a Halloween Coloring Book, to promote the local (Main Street) businesses. I drew these three pages for it...I think the gig paid twenty bucks.

DelGrads UD Bar Flashback: a Down Under Halloween Party ad from the Review! Down Under, R.I.P., and just click the pic below...
Okay, these take some explaining: When I was compiling material for the book, "Glory Days at Delaware," I knew that back issues of The Review would be a primary source of UD '87 - '07 historical info... ...but The Review's online archives only go back so far. So, I ended up making a special trip down to UD for a few d...ays, to do research. UD has an archive room, in the basement of Pearson Hall; upon request, you can rifle through their bound volumes of The Review, yearbooks, etc. My intention was to make photocopies of the specific Review pages I needed, but that was going way to slow, on limited time. So, what I ended up doing, was I'd just hover over the newspapers, and take shots of them with my digital camera...like I was f'in James Bond or something. Anyway, it worked out great, and I was able to go back and "read" the pages on my computer screen... ...so here are some (but nearly not all!) of the Review research shots I took!Read More

DelGrads Does Homecoming on the same weekend as Halloween suck? Read the Review article, and comment away. I seem to remember them also coinciding once in the mid to late '90s. My opinion? DON'T schedule Homecoming on a Halloween weekend.

Homecoming is an October tradition, but this year’s homecoming celebration has a new twist — it’s the same day as Halloween.

DelGrads Radiohead is coming to Delaware! Oh wait, that was also back in October '93. Here's the "SOLD OUT!" ad in the Review. (Note WHERE the show was, and also for you early '90s rock fans, who the supporting act was!)
