Delta College LifeLong Learning A Chocolate Affair, the #1 Charity Event (according to Tri City magazine), fully funds Delta's Possible Dream Program, which began in 1991. The mission of the program is to help bright but at-risk 6th-12th graders stay in school, and to believe that college is a "possible dream" for them. More than 700 people from the ...Great Lakes Bay Region attended last year's event.This year's event is on Thursday, November 5 at Valley Plaza in Midland. In addition to the fabulous assortment of chocolate creations, there will be a wide array of fine foods, wine, and live music. New 50+ Program in Full Swing!
Last year, Delta College launched a new program - 50+...Just Like Gold - for area residents, 50+ in age, and more than 500 people have participated in seminars, classes, motor coach trips and other events.
Tune in to the newest Delta College Public Broadcasting program Second Act...Life at... 50+, hosted by Mike Redford. Segments for the show on September 23 at 8 pm include career retooling and the current economic impact on jobs, high performance athletes and care giving to those with dementia/Alzheimer's.
