I despise student scores being tied to teacher performance. I have many students who won't do anything or even try. I am always seeking ways to help my students, but some will not comply. You can't just blame teachers; what about the parents, community members, etc.? What about student accountability? I work with high school students who are ... Read More15-17. They are old enough to be responsible to drive a car or have a learner's permit; you better be able to be responsible. Show responsibility in your education, also. Don't blame the teachers who are doing the right thing. The student needs to be responsible and learn.

Kristin, I agree! We need to move away from the Industrial Age model of education to a new, student centered modal of differentiation and student led learning. This proposal is a sad step backwards for education. As a strong Democrat, I intend to do all that I can to stop this nonsense and begin moving us forward toward education that is right for the information age!

I can certainly go along with that; if you want the priviledge of driving then you should also have the responsibility that goes along with it. Let's just be sure that the insurance industry stays honest and doesn't jump at the opportunity of squeezing the consummer with parasitic profiteering pricing...

Why do we need higher uninsured motorist if EVERYONE MUST HAVE INSURANCE?
This is just a way to force people to pay higher prices for the same insurance.
Plus you can make it a law but that doesn't mean the people that need it will get it. Next time some 18 YO kid causes an accident and doesn't have insurance how has this law helped?
