Dennis Moore Voted in favor of H.R. 3590, The Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009, which amends the federal tax code to ensure military personnel can take full advantage of the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit that was created as part of the Stimulus Act. Service members will not be forced to repay the tax credit if they are called for duty and forced to sell their home within three years of purchasing it.

Dennis Moore Announced this week that funding for a Veterans Administration Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) to be located in Johnson County was approved by the full House on a voice vote. This facility will provide convenient, accessible health care to the more than 45,000 veterans in our area.
