a Snaggy diMe National Games Week: As children many of us have played with toy soldiers and other miniatures, creating our own rules and developing our own strategy for the play. In 2004 this play with miniatures was formalized by Hasbro in a game called HeroScape. Miniatures representing people, animals and machines have predefined... capabilities, movement, strength and defenses and can be pitted against one another as individuals or teams. HeroScape was quickly embraced by the public as an exciting game where you build your own board and armies.

a Snaggy diMe The week of Thanksgiving is National Games Week, a time to promote socially interactive games by setting aside computer and electronic games and involving the family in traditional play of board games, card games, educational games and role playing games -- the type of games that bring family and friends together. We ...received a large shipment of games this weekend and over the coming week we will highlight some of the more interesting games that we received or otherwise carry. Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that bring the family together and we would like to encourage everyone, as we enter the holiday season, to remember the traditional games that bring family and friends around the table for some traditional fun. http://bit.ly/88B6Id
