Diaper Pin - Cloth Diapers, Tips, Reviews and More...

#clothdiapers I have to quote ""September"" for most of my review because my experience is similkar! ""I ordered this diaper in the Cow Hide print with the Velcro closure."" ""The reason I gave it 4 is because the snaps kept popping open as I was trying to diaper my baby."" I'd also have to complain about the velcro not sticking on the laundry tabs well and coming out of the washer stuck to other diapers. But the inserts dry quickly and we haven't had any leaks since the beginning, when my sons legs may still have been too skinny for the best fit. ""As far as quality and materials go the outer, waterproof material is thin, the inside is soft, and the inserts are thick and very, very absorbent. I also really like the colors and prints available. "" I bought them because I couldn't resist the cow print!
#clothdiapers These diapers are very absorbent after the inserts are washed a couple of times. I wish there was a newborn insert though! Having to fold the full-size insert is very bulky on my little guy. The velcro is nice and soft but doesn't stay on the laundry tabs ever, so I end up with a big mess of diapers stuck to each other when they come out of the wash. The shells I hang-dry, but the inserts never dry in the house that way. I have to tumble-dry them for at least 100 minutes on high heat, using dryer balls. It's ridiculous how long it takes. I find some of the elastics in the back are a little stretched out now, but they're still functioning just fine. I have to change the baby a lot though because I worry about the wetness against his skin for too long and it makes him fussy. Other brands seem to wick away moisture better, in my opinion. But no blowouts or leaks since washing a couple times.
#clothdiapers I use mostly one-size diapers and these are the only ones where the velcro actually stays on the laundry tab in the washer (the others all come apart meanign they're all stuck to each other when they come out of the washer). I hang the shells to dry and tumble-dry the inserts and both dry rather quickly and look to be in good shape 2 months into use. The suedecloth keeps baby's bum nice and dry, although we have had a bit of staining on one diaper, but that could be because I didn't wash it for 3 days instead of the normal 2. Stuffing pocket diapers is kind of a PITA, but I have no problem getting the stuffing out of a soiled diaper. I just hold the insert at the top and shake the cover into the laundry and then drop the insert in afterwards. No biggie. When my son goes onto solid foods, we'll start using the flushable liners so less mess going into the washer. So far, these are my favourite one-size diaper. I couldn't use them out of the gate because my son was only 6.5 pounds at birth with skinny legs. He was 10 pounds before any OS cloth diaper fit him well enough.
