My perspective as a physician is that very little of what I do would be possible without the knowledge gained from animal research. Of course, anyone who wishes can choose to avoid all medical interventions derived in any manner from animal research. And God bless anyone attempting such a course.

There is alternative medicine, as opposed to allopathic medicine. Acupuncture, herbs, etc. Surgery is strictly allopathic, I grant you that. Perhaps we keep people alive too long and rescue sickly babies that should die - as nature intended them to.
