Classes will be held Sundays starting June 7th at the Coors Dance Studio at Flashpoint. Classes are $10 for Adults and $7 for Students. A Great Value!!!

Beginning Contemporary Dance (Introductory Class for the Novice Dancer) 3:30 - 4:30pm

This class is designed to give the novice dancer a feel of Dissonance Dance Theatr...e's movement quality. Class begins with a short warm up, basic ballet center, modern movement across the floor and a fun combination. This combination is blended with a ballet base interjected with modern, funk jazz and acting intent.

Intermediate Contemporary Dance (The Dancer with Prior Dance Knowledge) 4:45-5:45pm

Serving as the final event for Dance is the Answer, Dance Project will feature nine innovative dance pieces by choreographers from throughout the Virginia and DC area. This biannual showcase engages dance artists by providing a platform to present new works of all styles. This spring the featured artists include Diss...onance Dance Theater/Shawn Short, UpRooted Dance/Keira Hart-Mendoza, R Squared Dance/Rachel S. Hunter, Danah Bella Dance Works, April Gruber, Setarra Kennedy, Vikki Weinberger, Tina Fratello Lore, and Heather Glasgow Doyle. Dissonance Dance Theatre guest performs again with the wonderful talent of the School of Music At Catholic University. This time we enter the world of Opera based on the Greek play of "Eumenides"by Aeschylus. This original work entitled The Furies was produced and composed in 2006 by Catholic University chair of music ...composition Dr. Andrew Simpson.
