D.j. Murphy D J Murphy's novel "A Thousand Veils" is the story of an Iraqi journalist who has to flee Hussein and the American lawyer who tries to save her. It was inspired by several asylum cases Murphy worked on while practicing international corporate law. The book received the Mainstream Fiction Award from the Colorado Autho...rs' League and was a finalist for a Colorado Book Award.

Wolski Suzanne Thank you very much for the book "A Thousand Veils" I look forward to reading it. I have to finish the book club book first though. It is a very amusing story by James Wilcox "Sort of Rich" . He is a terrific writer.

D.j. Murphy Talk about early birds! Yesterday morning, I met with a book club at 7 am to discuss "A Thousand Veils." The book club, originally a group of CSU professors, has been in existence for about 45 years. Even though most of the members are now retired, they still keep their early morning meeting hour.
