Doc Jazz

Doc Jazz is a Palestinian who was born in the Netherlands. He is a consultant general surgeon by profession, and has a passion for music - and for his homeland, Palestine. In his free time, he recorded and released many songs - in English, Arabic and Dutch - on CD's and mp3's that were made available online.

His songs, where lyrics play an important role, often - but not exclusively - contain firm protests against the injustices perpetrated upon the Palestinians, and against other social or political mishaps around the world.

Before moving from the Netherlands to the Middle East, he was also known for his advocacy for the Palestinian cause as spokesman of the board of the Palestinian Community in the Netherlands (PGN), and through public appearances, articles and interviews on radio, television and in newspapers.
