Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I have a mobile practice going to clients' homes. I started out as a PT working on humans and then when both myself and my dog got injured in 1994, everything fell into place. See more about it on www.dogsinmotion.net.

To become certified in canine rehabilitation, you need to be either a PT, PTA, Vet, vet tech working under a Vet certified in canine rehab. There are 2 programs that I am aware of: Canine Rehab Institute and UT / Northeast Seminars.

Are you working currently with a rehab therapist? You might check with one to see what kind of exercises might be best for your dog. Let me know if you need help locating one.

Pat Holcomb

Pat Holcomb Anyone have ideas on what I can do for my doxie that scrapes his back right toes when he walks? This is 7 months post surgery and he's damaging his nails. Shoes don't work.

Thanks. You've all been helpful. I think I'll try the inexpensive balloon boots and go from there.

Steve Dale

Steve Dale FYI - among other things, I blog for Chicago Now (operated by the Tribune). And one
blogger wrote why he Hates dogs! This is a VERY popular
blog, VERY popular with thousands of eyeballs. So, I HAD to counter.
What do you all think of what I wrote, ...and perhaps you can comment, and tell your friends. I don't believe thes...e sorts of comments should be ignored. http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/steve-dale-pet-world/

While it is anyone and everyones right to not like something. I can say the more people I meet the more I prefer the company of my dogs.
