Dolphins hear with their jaw
The lower jaw to be exact. This one is filled with fatty tissue that is very sensitive for vibrations in the water and guides them to the hearing system.
That is why they hear so much better than we do. Maybe a visit to the plastic surgeon with some nice implants can help.

We are intrerested in doing your dolphin swim. We will be in Curacaco in the spring , aboard the Ruby Princess. Your tour is not currently offered through a "ship" excursion on the Princess website. So my question is, can I book directly through your web site? Your website mentions cruise ship… customers must go through ship tour. I sent you a couple of e mails & maybe they didn't go through?

Dolphins have legs
Well ok legs, the remainders of them. Al dolphins and whales derive from a land animal named Pakicetus. During their evolution their legs disappeared but if you make an x-ray you see that they still have bony fragments in the tissue located where the hind legs used to be.

Yes Dolphins are social animals, but they do not exactly treat each other with velvet gloves. Especially bottlenose dolphins are known for their rough play and fights. They do not have hands bur are not afraid to use their teeth instead. Lucky for them the scratches heal very fast.

Dolphin Academy Curaçao This Saturday the 7th of November Curacao goes cycling again during the Amstel Curacao Race. The race forms the closure of the season on how can you kick this off better then swimming with dolphins?Tour de France winner Alberto Contador, Andy and Frank Schleck, Thor Hushovd, Edvald Hagen, Lars Boom, Johnny Hoogerland, Koos Moerenhout, Kenny van Hummel, (read further by next post)
Dolphin Academy Curaçao Jacob Fuglsang, Jesus Hernandes, Gabriel Rash and Brice Feillu once again visited the dolphins of the Dolphin Academy Curaçao. The athletes enjoyed themselves to the fullest and even experienced very special sprint training during their dorsal ride. Instead of accelerating the men were mostly relaxing and with this special inspiration in mind are already looking forward to the race of Saturday.
