I remember Dorchester Park from when I was a kid going to St Greg's. I also remember it during the days I wouldn't feel safe walking thru it. NOW it's a remarkable asset to the our comminity
Just about every morning Ben (my golden retriever) & I walk from one of the entrances at Dorchester Ave along the path to one o...f the baseball fields playing fetch. There are lots of folks out walking, some with dogs, some just by themselves or with friends. The vast majority of those folks are generous with their morning greetings. It's a great way to start the day. And who can believe right in the middle of Dorchester, we have this slice of heaven.

From 5:00 PM 'til midnight on September 18, TAVOLO (1918 Dorchester Avenue) will be running a free shuttle bus service bet...ween the restaurant and the UMass Campus Center. Feel free to park your car in the Ashmont Tire lot directly across the street from Tavolo, or just hop the T to Ashmont Station next door to the restaurant.
After the gala, TAVOLO will be the place to be for an after-party that continues until 1:00 AM. Stop by for a nitecap and complimentary "midnight snacks."

Meeting at the Adams and Richview Street stairs and entrances.
We encourage people to wear sturdy soled shoes ie no sandals or thongs on their feet. We suggest that light weight long sleeve t's are appropriate for this occassion.
Brooms and rakes supplied by the city.... Weedwacking, sweeeping and brush removal are the agenda as we reclaim areas of this 26+ acre Dorchester namesake park that is listed on the National Register of Historic places.
Beverages and refreshments will be supplied by the Association.
Let's get the weeds before they get the Park!
