DotSport Blog post: ICANN Seoul summary http://www.dotsport.info/ICANN-Seoul
www.dotsport.info
The not so good news is that the ICANN staff does not commit to any timeline for the introduction of new top level domains. The previous information saying that applications for new top level domains like .sport could be submitted in Q1 2010 is now obsolete. ...

DotSport The ICANN Board today decided to ask its staff to develop a plan that would allow potential new top level domain operators to express their interest. This is a good step forward. We at DotSport will certainly use that opportunity to showcase our community-based approach.

DotSport According to some comments heard here in Seoul, the target date for applying for a new top level domain could be postponed again. Application date "could" be after 2010, not "will be." . ICANN won't commit to 2010, but that doesn't mean 2011.
