Ditto for the Memorial Day parade. Most years the peaceniks outweigh the war veterans, which is as it should be in America. One day we'll have "Peace Day" to honor the folks that stood up to the military-industrial complex and said get out of Afghanistan. Last year in Ferndale marchers bore the faces and names of dead soldiers, reminding us their souls still live with us, their death still haunts us.

Question #4

What is special about Ferndale that should receive more attention?

Frank

AJ's Cafe. It is a true community place that offers what chains cannot. You'd never see open mic, candidates' forums, the Assembly Line Concert at a chain cafe.

I like the Historical Museum posited by Frank.

I mentioned Hilton Road in the next wayfinding question. I think that area has a lot of potential. Many city's have taken "industrial" and made it cool- I think we can do the same thing.

The historical architecture is great...the older the better.
And even Comos is classy now at more than 50 years old.
