Downtown Muskegon Volunteers needed: Muskegon Main Street is looking for volunteers to help decorate downtown for the Holidays. We'll be working at Hackley Park Nov 23, 24, and 25 from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m getting ready for the lighting of the tree Nov 28 at 6:00 p.m. Come by anytime you can! If you can't help, pass this on to... someone who can! Call 231.724.3180 to sign up.

A real Muskegon Holiday Tradition is being at Hackley Park the Saturday after Thanksgiving for the lighting of the Holiday Tree. With a visit from Santa, hot chocolate and hot dogs, carollers and your chance to walk through the decorated park, this is an event not to be missed. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the l...ighting of the tree taking place at 6:00 p.m.
And while you are downtown, why not get done some of your Holiday Shopping from one downtown's unique retailers? Five retailers including Hegg's Gallery of Fine Furniture, Jilly's Gallery, Sun, Wind, & Rain, Clay Avenue Cellars, and the Hackley & Hume Historic Sites will be open on the day of the event until 7:00 p.m.
