Downtown Sylva Association The Annual Sylva Christmas Parade is set for tomorrow, December 5th at 3:30 pm. The parade will go on as scheduled unless officials determine there are unsafe conditions. The weather conditions will be evaluated on Saturday early afternoon. If something changes, we will update our website, facebook page, and voicemail.

Downtown Sylva Association Papou's will be having a Thanksgiving Holiday Wine Tasting this Saturday, November 21st from 2:00-5:00 pm. Downtown Sylva Association The Great Smoky Mountains Book Fair is this Saturday,9-3 at the First Methodist Church in downtown Sylva. Enjoy a variety, books, authors and activities for all ages. Meet over 50 authors, hear readings, make books, listen to music, get books appraised, and (for a price) even get a poem for your child’s pet from Nort...h Carolina’s Poet Laureate, Kay Byer. Start your holiday shopping. Admission is free.
Downtown Sylva Association Gary Carden’s one-man play, “Prince of Dark Corners,” will be performed at the Sylva First United Methodist Church on Jackson St. at 7:30 p.m. TONIGHT as part of the 5th Great Smoky Mountains Book Fair. T Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and tickets will be available at the door. All proceeds go to the New... Library Fund to furnish and equip the new Jackson County Library Complex.
