This is great news. I'm always shocked at how timid politicians are when dealing with this issue, so it's nice to see it finally being discussed openly.

Whoever legalizes it first stands to gain enormous tax revenues (not enough to solve CA's problems, but a decent start), a boost in tourism and other economic benefits. It seems like a no-brainer to me.
