Phyllis

Phyllis Hey drum corps fans, I need some help. Does anyone know of a site where I can purchase current drum corps CDs? I would like to send some as a gift, but, I can only find "historic" CDs. Any help would really be appreciated.

Wow...Valley, Riversiders.....how come there's no information about the Travelers from NYC?
My three cousins were in Polish Falcon Cadets from 1968-1973. I marched in Cranford Patriots, 1972-1982.

was a Mello-Dear in the late 70s and both Capitalaires & St Ignatius were regular competitors of ours. There were a slew of all-girl corps back then. I think Ventures are the only ones left now. If it weren't for being in an all-girls corps, I would never have been a snare drummer. Came out of 'retirement' in 1994 and played snare with the Empire Statemsmen. Won every show, high drums all season, and DCA champs!

Jeffrey B. Dennis

Jeffrey B. Dennis Jeff Dennis from 1965 thru 1972 Blue Rock snare drummer. Also 1982-1983 Archie Sr. Corps and 1984 Reading Bucs. Big difference in playing and marching, but I did it.
Memories will last forever, no matter when you were a member of a drum corps. We all have an extended family forever. Yes the old drum corps were the real ...drum corps. Maybe the new drum corps, to us old people, we just don't understand what they are doing. Ya think????

I agree Joe, while new corps is still not my cup of tea(maybe something stronger) it's still kids having the time of their lives traveling, meeting new people, having adventures, learning and making their friends that will last a lifetime. PS BR reunion, more formal arrangements (still Kelly's)for Elks parade in June, bj

I liked the old drum corps much better but like anything else, everything changes. I played french horn and solo soprano for Dumont from 1956-63 and have watched drum corp change radically over the years. It may not be what I like but the people involved in it now like it and that's what's important.
