The text for the wedding was from Ecclesiastes; ' He has planted eternity in the human heart........ but even so....." . The marriage commitment thing is not because we are so confident in our love we feel it will never fail...

I've been out of the loop a bit - but some one had some queries about the integrity of what I said ages ago about dating when you don't plan to marry. Here's my response to their questions...

Hi Pete,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on dating with everyone.
I'm confused by what you said above, in the second last paragraph. I don't know any single women in the church who would want to go on a date with someone who didn't have even the slightest interest in her or any interest in possibly pursuing a romantic relationship with her. I don't understand why these women would be 'pleased' to do this and instead, I wonder if they would consider it a waste of time?. Wouldn't they also consider themselves to be more valueable, and worthy of much more, than this?. ... Read More
Thanks for answering this for me,

Thanks for your comments Kathleen and Amanda. They were helpful. Incase it wasn't clear to anyone, when I asked Pete those questions I assumed that Pete was not saying the things I asked about (I trust him), which is why I did ask him the questions-I wanted to know what he WAS saying, thus, I didn't write them to tell him what is right in my opinion, instead I wanted to understand him.

The last part of the story of Jesus is called The Passion. There are seven moments during The Passion, which capture the whole experience of mankind’s attempts at life. The first is the sound of hope, when Jesus sang a song with his friends as he was about to be betrayed and executed...

Pete! Just came across this by accident. How very happy I am to read what you have to say. Going to bed and meditating on it all.
