We hope you have a great time over the summer holidays and are excited about striving to meet your reading challenge which begins on Friday 11 December 2009.
Remember - books are a great way to discover new stuff and use your imagination. Export yourself to a new world through books and make your way to another dimensio...n!
This year's Summer Reading Programme is supported by University Book Shop and Moana Pool.
When you join this years Summer Reading Programme we'll give you a free Time Travel reading booklet that you can use to record all the cool books you read over Summer.
You choose the number of books you think you can read over the holidays and this becomes your goal. You may choose to increase your goal as you progress, we suggest a low starter target of five or more books to read.
You then have all Summer to reach your goal, but you need to return your Summer Reading booklet to us before Sunday 7 February 2010.

I want all of you to know that the Library is my FAVOURITE place in Dunedin. I sought it out on my first day in this city 23 years ago and have loved it ever since. For me very little rivals a weekend afternoon, drifting around, gath...ering up a pile of this and that, then finally settling down on one of the easy chairs near the coloured windows to make my selection and ruminate on how lucky we are to have such a fine institution right here, open just about every day of the year! :) Jenny BeckRead More
