The Arc of Montgomery, Berks & Bucks Counties On Nov 18, 2009, theUS Senate leadership unveiled its final health reform package, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act or CLASS Act is included in the final Senate bill. The CLASS Act sets up a voluntary system for long-term supports and services and is of great consequence to the disability community.

We still have some openings for volunteers if you are interested in wrapping. If you are your group is intersted please email wrapper@marcpa.org. But please stop by the mall and support our program and enjoy shopping.
The Arc of Montgomery, Berks & Bucks Counties People in Waiver-funded group homes are being told or left with the impression that they are limited in how much they may be absent from their group home for family visits, or other reasons. Some are being warned that individuals who require hospital care need to limit home visits because they might exceed the 48-day limit. The cost of tickets for a group hay ride, admission to PlayLand and lunch is covered through a grant from the Dolfinger-McMahon Foundation. Pumpkinland will be open and there will be lots of activities for the family including a small farm area for kids to see a variety of animals and a miniature train to ride.Read More
