I am concerned about the following quote from this link: "Though neither Trott nor his recently formed company has a track record in energy production, their plan was enthusiastically endorsed by a wide range of officials, including Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., who joined in Thursday... See More’s announcement." The success of the project depends on the type of panels used. If they use solar thermal collectors, there is a strong possibility of leakage, as far as I know. I wrote a comment on that page.

We had a very expensive, very reputable architect choose to design our passive solar home as an experimental home at reduced cost in eastern PA because another home they designed with an active system leaked. Our home worked beautifully and we received tax credits, as well. I am thrilled that we are coming back with greater intention to use alternative methods of heating our homes.

I'm not sure photovoltaic cells have those problems like solar-thermal, but I'm no expert (I'm sure they have their own set of problems though). They are bringing private money to the table which is good; but let's hope they get experts on board early. - Jeff

I totally agree with your comments about experts getting on board EARLY, Jeff. I am very encouraged to hear about the private money. Thanks for the news.
