Help restock our local food pantry – which could really use help during this time of year – and get your library account in good standing. Starting November 1 through November 21, as a thank you to our patrons and our community, the library will be doing a canned food drive in exchange for library fines. Each can o...r non-perishable item donated will waive one dollar ($1.00) in library fines. This is for East Greenbush fines only; we can not waive fines from other libraries. The exchange can only be used toward library fines, NOT for payment of lost or damaged items or any other fees. The library cannot accept cans that are damaged, dented, beyond their expiration date or in glass containers. All donated food will go to the Rensselaer County Food Pantry in time for Thanksgiving. Even if you do not have outstanding fines, you can still help out the food pantry by donating food.Read More
