My hosting provider is knowingly destroying “my” data, and I was livid when I found out. But it turns out that this is normal practice for many (if not all) shared-server providers, even if they do not immediately disclose it.

The Composite 20 report features San Diego as one of three cities to see annualized gains over 10% from June 2009 through June 2010. Minneapolis and San Francisco were the only other cities to see such gains in the 1-year period; five cities experienced declines.

            R. Alan Smith Here's an article definitely worth a read.

You look back 10 years, what did you get? A little bit cleaner and deeper in debt. With apologies to Tennessee Ernie Ford, that’s a brief synopsis of how U.S. home life has changed during the past decade.

East San Diego County Association of REALTORS® Everyone Loves SB 1275 -- Except the Bankers

Lending lobbyists have ramped up their efforts to block SB 1275, a homeowner's protection bill, and politicians seem to have noticed. After passing the Senate and meeting with success in Assembly committees, the bill has failed to gather the necessary yes votes in the final r...ead. A reconsideration vote will be taken tomorrow (Tuesday).

East San Diego County Association of REALTORS® Good News: Home Sales Drop in San Diego Slightly Lower Than National Average

Last week it was reported that national home sales dropped 25% in July (from the previous year). However, the news gets better the closer to home you get -- in California, the post-tax credit falloff was 21% -- and in San Diego, it was 15.2%. P...lus, prices locally gained 4.6% and foreclosures were down 32%.

Two new programs will be rolled out soon by the HUD (via the FHA). One is a refinancing program, the other is an emergency loan program for unemployed homeowners.

The government is still debating whether another tax rebate would be a good idea or not. Gov. Cris...t of Florida, with the 3rd-highest foreclosure rate, strongly encourages a new tax rebate.

                      R. Alan Smith Once upon a time the merits of home ownership were written into our collective DNA. Today the very idea of home ownership is under attack. Can you convincingly articulate the merits of owning a home? This article should help!

Many home purchases could still end in grief financially, particularly in hard-hit areas. But most probably won’t.
