Join us for The Rock Trust Kilt Walk™ on the 22nd August 2009! It’s a sponsored walk for all the family where you can proudly wear your kilt, or flash some tartan along with hundreds of other kilted walkers, on a 5km route around some of Scotland’s most famous sights.
Starting and finishing at the Ross Theatre in Edinbu...rgh’s West Princes Street Gardens, the route loops round the Gardens, past the back of Edinburgh Castle, before dropping back down to the finish directly below the mighty Castle ramparts!
Make A Truly Scottish Day Of It!
No need for stretches, the build up to the event will begin at 11am with a ceilidh which is guaranteed to get you warmed up! The Walk will start at 12pm, and should take a maximum of one hour to complete. Every participant will receive an event t-shirt and a Scottish themed goodie bag. In addition, there’s a host of entertainment planned at the Ross Theatre, including performances from the Commotion Women Drummers and Cantara.

WHAT WE DO
The Rock Trust is a charity that works in Edinburgh and West Lothian with homeless and socially excluded young people between the ages of 16 and 25 years. The Trust’s aim is to provide opportunities for young people to develop the personal, social and practical skills, as well as the sense of self worth necessary for independent adult life.
