Sometimes kids just go through stages were they want to be held. Bria went through the same stage for awhile and found two things that worked:

1) I let her bring a baby doll or stuffed animal to class that was her baby to dance with. She liked that idea and I think it gave her more confidence having something familiar.
2) I would hold her for one song and then put her down but hold her hands and dance with her for the next song. Eventually she just decided that dancing on her own was more fun again. ... See More

But for awhile Bria did just want to be held while we danced. It was when I was pregnant and I think she could sense the changes and just needed that extra security. She did the same thing when Malia was about 4 months, she all of a sudden seemed to need me to hold her a lot more, wanted to be worn in the wrap, etc. I think a lot of times when there is a new baby it can take a few months before you notice any sort of attention seeking behavior (for the first few months all baby does is sleep so they really don't take away that much attention). Like I said Bria went through a clingy stage from when Malia was about 4-6 months and then moved past it. Rather then fight it I just held her and eventually she decided that she wanted to dance on her own again. I didn't worry about it because I new she was still learning even while I held her and she was still experiencing dance and music.

Unless she is crying or telling you she wants to leave I wouldn't be worried she is not enjoying herself. Besides if I had a big person who could pick me up and dance with me I think I might like that every once and awhile too (especially if they were my favorite person in the world!).

Try not to worry! (I know Kasha has been through the same thing with Kaidys, you might want to ask her what she found worked too).

Looks like I didn't actually hit submit when I replied last night! I love my fisher-price portable booster/high chair! So easy to take to restaurants!
