Edward Lynch SR. what cracks me up is that unemployment benefits are taxed. You pay for them with taxes when you earn your money then, when you need the unemployment benefits, you have to pay taxes when you receive them. It doesn't make sense but neither does taxing social security or capital gains taxes or, the big daddy of them all, estate (death) taxes. I can't wait until I get to congress!!!

Edward Lynch SR. Sotomayor's ruling overturned, unions don't have to pay taxes on health insurance, stimulus package not stimulating, cap and trade, unemployement up, cutting deals on house floor and that is just the last few days. Get with it everyone, we have got to do something!!!
Edward Lynch SR. we watched them cut deals from the floor today, they all voted on a bill that they did not even read the whole thing and they passed the largest tax in history. What don't we get?! Edward Lynch SR. suggests that you urge your congressmen to vote present on HR 2454 since there is not enough time to read the bill. It is wrong to vote either yay or nay on a bill that you have not had time to read. Have we not learned our lesson on the stimulus bill? Obama voted present on everything and owned nothing. Let, the dems own this bill entirely.

I agree, this is a pet peeve of mine, and I wonder if there is some way to pass a federal law that forces them not to vote on bills they have not read.

I called my Rep., Mr. Wexler's office. They said that they were sorry that I couldn't speak to him because his lips were currently on the President's rear end and thus unavailable for a phone call!
Edward Lynch SR. agrees with Tim. I can not believe the contempt that members of OUR congress have for their constituents. They really do not think we are that smart. Let's prove them wrong in 2010. Support your candidates financially the best you can and get involved.
Edward Lynch SR. Sorry to be crude but when it comes to the cap and trade bill, Congress can call a turd a rose but at the end of the day it is still just a steaming, smelly turd and is not good for our country. Call your reps and tell them to vote no on H.R. 2454.
Edward Lynch SR. they got voted in because we wanted change, we just forgot to tell them what kind of change. We can do something about it though, we can watch them and tell them to vote the way we want until we vote them out of office. We need to tell them to vote NO on cap and trade...the largest tax in history. Remember, once they get their greedy paws on money through a tax, they never give it back.

Edward Lynch SR. So, the CBO only gives accurate numbers when it suits Pelosi but, the real numbers for the Kennedy healthcare plan (I mean Obama healthcare) are all wrong. I forgot, it won't cost anything and everyone will be covered. One of the problems with this healthcare plan is that it is going to make us all sick when we see how much it costs. You guys have to contribute to our candidadacy, we have got to end this madness!!

Edward Lynch SR. needs to understand. Why are we paying islands and Gitmo detainees hundreds of millions of OUR dollars when we have huge unemployment right here in our country? When are we going to say enough is enough already? You guys get me elected and you watch what happens, I will not stand for any of this garbage. Edward Lynch SR. Ok, so now we are going to pay the island of Palau $200 million dollars to take the 17 Chinese prisoners from Gitmo. Simple math: $200 million/17prisoners=$11.76 million per prisoner. At a cost of $50,000 per year to house a prisoner (double the government accepted number) each prisoner could be housed where they are for 235 years. When will this madness end? I'll tell you when...in 2010.

Korea, Israeli settlements, Gitmo, torture, teleprompters, Iran, birth certificate, Rev. Wright, etc.... Question: When does it all end? Answer: when we get rid of all of these losers and start electing real leaders, locally and nationally!

Well I will give District 19 a voice in our government for the first time in 13 years. Besides, it is going to be hard to give a voice to anyone from federal prison. Great, great piece Ed. I've been saying the same thing about this "safe seat" nonsense since the day I met Sid. The GOP has a responsibility and a duty to challenge Wexler. To not challenge the most liberal and possibly most corrupt member of the US House is just plain cowardly and as you said self fulfilling. I'd rather see RPOF funds "wasted" supporting you and our other local candidates, than see them paying for Jim Greer's excursions.
