I have co-authored the book, Middle Schoolin’, with Frank Palacio, that is sure to be of interest to the staff and students of your education program. I hold a master’s degree in education as does Frank. Additionally, I am a National Board certified teacher.
Our book contains fifty short stories about the Challenges, Hu...mor and Rewards of Teaching. Some of the stories are about: the death of a student, being evaluated, observing a good teacher, controlling an unruly class, dealing with an angry parent, to mention a few.
This book could be added to your assigned/supplementary reading in your secondary teaching methods courses. Some great discussions and alternative teaching methods can come out of reading Middle Schoolin'. We've also included twenty-five of our beset teaching strategies.
