Eileen Goudge Happy Thanksgiving! And to all you pie-bakers, may your filling be sweet and your crust light. I have a pie in the oven as I write this - apple - but plan to check out the sweet-potato pecan pie recipe on the "Good Morning America" website. Saw it on Emerli's segment and it looked yummy. What's your favorite pie?

Eileen Goudge OK...for those of you who wanna know when the next book is coming, I got up at 4 a.m. on SATURDAY to work on it. (The voices in my head wouldn't shut up!). And, yes, I took Sunday off; don't want to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Eileen Goudge Are you a Twi-Hard? My husband attended the screening of "New Moon" the other night. He also saw a bunch of twi-hards camping outside the ABC building when he came to work; they were there to catch a glimpse of Robert Pattison. Can't think of any reason good enough to spend the night on a sidewalk.

Eileen Goudge Went to a screening the other night of the soon-to-be-released George Clooney movie, "Up in the Air." Really good! But all those airports & airplanes...egads...I feel as if I earned frequent flier miles just watching! Don't know about you, but I am not happy when travelling long-distance. Give me a sturdy pair of walking shoes any day.

Eileen Goudge Saw the Jane Austen exhibit yesterday at the Morgan Library. Some of her letters and writings were on display. Wish I'd brought my magnifying glass. You never saw such tiny writing! If they hadn't been put into print, no one would have been able to read her books. Interesting, too, that her books didn't make any r......eal money until long after her death.

Eileen Goudge Another rainy day in NYC. On the plus side, I get more work done. Yes, it's Saturday and I'm at my desk. Since my husband has to work today - okay, he gets to interview Daniel Day Lewis - I thought I'd join him in solidarity. Hey, maybe Daniel Day L. will play one of the characters if the book I'm working gets made...... into a movie--now there's a thought...

Eileen Goudge Is it possible for a week to have more than 7 days? This one seems longer. Maybe I'm still getting over my jet lag or recovering from my late-night Twitter party. This week has been crazy/busy for Sandy, too, what with November sweeps. And we both have to work tomorrow. Sunday is the carrot on the stick.

Eileen Goudge Last night's Girls Night Out tweet party was a blast! I was up waaaaay past my bedtime, but the chance to "hang out" with the girls (and a few guys) made it worthwhile. If I didn't get to everyone's questions, plse follow up here or on Twitter and I'll answer, I promise.

Eileen Goudge Tonight is my Twitter party! Don't know what that is? Neither did I, until a short while ago. But it sounds like fun. I'll be on MomTv, too (a Web show), from 9 - 10 p.m.

Eileen Goudge Just back from the writers conferece out west. Fun but exhausting. Whew! I was never so happy to get back to my desk. But the people were great, and I met fellow keynote speakers Jane Green and Lisa Gardner, both wonderful. Here's a photo of my with one of the attendees.

Eileen Goudge I am off to the west coast for the La Jolla Writers Conference. I'm giving a keynote speech tonight, then I teach a class tomorrow. Should be fun! I'll give a full report on Tuesday. Until then...have a great weekend, ya'll!

Eileen Goudge Go Yankees!! (Sorry to all you Philly fans). What a way to break in the new stadium!

Eileen Goudge I have a reader in N.C. who sends me pecans off her trees every year around this time. Just got the latest shipment. Divine! I'm thinking about all the holiday treats I'm going to bake with them.

Eileen Goudge Did you see the full moon last night? I could still see it as I walked to the gym this morning. It was almost touching the tall buildings. Made me think of that movie, "Moonstruck."
