These are a few shots from the Festival of the Cranes at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. These were all taken the same morning; we were very blessed to have such a versatility of early morning colors that day. To see thousands of Cranes, Geese, Hawks, Eagles and more is incredible - but the sound they make …when first lifting off the ponds in the morning is even more amazing. This is a picture I took last year at the Festival of the Cranes event at Bosque del Apache, just north of T or C, New Mexico. The Bosque is a National wetland that hosts thousands of Canadian Geese, Snow Cranes, Hawks, Eagles, Ducks and birds of all kinds. This weekend the Festival of the Cranes kick in where bird wat…chers, photographers and nature lovers from all over the world gather to witness this amazing spectacle. I'm going to begin a series called Out Takes that hopefully folks
will find useful when it comes to wanting some ideas on photography. These will also be posted on my blog El Paso Photographer.
This first one deals with an issue of folding a reflector. A friend had bought one and of course there is no instructions on how… to fold it
back up. So, this is a demo on how to get the cotton picken thing back in the bag when you're done using it.
By the way, after I edited the vid, I realized that I had taken two events and two different people and fused them into the same story. Apologies to Mary in advance. For those of you who know me well, you know that dementia and I are becoming very good
