Celebrating the preservation of food, traditions and custom. The menu for this dinner was created with the Slow Food Ark in mind. In order to save a species, you have to eat it! Many products listed on the menu come from the Slow Food Ark, a list of foods that are under the threat of extinction. Other menu items are... prepared with traditional recipies that might be in danger of becoming lost. And throughout the meal, we will also celebrate some long honored customs.

Embrace the changing seasons and spend an afternoon on the farm full of fun and local food at Heritage Prairie Farm’s Harvest Family Farm Festival on Sunday, October 25th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
We will be featuring an Apple Pie Baking Contest with celebrity judge Chef Jeremy Lycan of Niche. Instructions for the contest ...are posted online at http://www.hpmfarm.com. The winner will receive an elegant dinner for two at Niche in downtown Geneva.
The Harvest Family Farm Festival’s menu includes a Pig Roast with sumptuous sides and salads, along with other farm treats. There will also be music, pony rides, games and crafts for children, a bonfire and s’mores.
