Electronica Comic Book
Hi facebook friendos, an update on Electronica vs The Small Press Idol Contest. As you may know Electronica did not get enough supporter votes to make it into the final round. After some final decision making and research they decided to keep the to three contendors in their spots and then the judges voted on a wildcar...d which is "The People that Melt in the Rain". A lot of people ask me why "E" isn't higher on the list with 3 YES votes from the judges and such quality work. I can only tell those people that it's all based on public support votes and though I marketed a lot, I was a little slower than my competitors getting out there and also just one person, with one network. No excuse anyhow, my congratulations to all of the three contendors in the final round and I 'm very glad they saved the the book they did as the wildcard. I've learned a lot from this contest including marketing and networking– heck, if it wasn't for Small Press Idol this facebook page and all the story and art now open for public view would be buried under my coffee cups. Electronica did make it into the top 9 books, so save some strange cirumstance, the Prelude Issue will be available soon through the Small Press Idol folks in some form and then on with the mini series Electronica: "Burden of a Borrowed World" already in development. Stay tuned here for some great updates in the coming month and to see some of the nice things the judges said in finale about Electronica check out this thread http://www.smallpressidol.com/forum/topi cview/misc/1045.htm Thanks all for your wonderful support and keep creating! -WEGJ

Electronica Comic Book Well it's beautiful in Tacoma, Washington today, just got done mowing the lawn and drinking a Mike's Margarita under the 75 degree sun. Summers here, as it nearly always is in the clear skies of Electronica. Enjoy this daily sketch with Katy Love from Electronica, Martian enjoying his jones soda in the innertube. Accor...ding to my deviantArt friends they say this is very Aspen-like, I agree, must have been channeling some Aspen when sketching this, you never know where a daily drawing is going to take you. Electronica Comic Book
The script for the first Electronica series has been re-written several times over the course of the past 7 years. When writing the most recent draft I did some serious homework into the world of physics with Michio Kaku's book Physics of the Impossible. Because the setting of the book takes place in a near future usin...g alien technology, it is important to me to include physics that could actually be. Kaku's book outlines everything from time travel to psychic abilities and breaks them down into categories from how likely it is possible for it to be achieved. I used this study to make the world of Electronica more credible, of course there is always room for a little imagination once you know what the rules are ;) http://www.amazon.com/Physics-Impossible -Scientific-Exploration-Teleportation/dp /0385520697
Physics of the Impossible: A Scientific Exploration into the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Telepor
A fascinating exploration of the science of the impossible—from death rays and force fields to invisibility cloaks—revealing to what extent such technologies might be achievable decades or millennia into the future. One hundred years ago, scientists would have said that lasers, televisio...
