Element of Speed It’s that time of year again — time for NASCAR’s version of musical chairs. Of course, in NASCAR’s version, there’s usually enough chairs — or cars — to go around, with everyone looking to move finding a new home with a new team. Element of Speed's Amanda Vincent explores the speculation surrounding who's going where for 2010.

In case you missed this weekend's NASCAR Cup race at Talladega, it was quite a show. NASCAR Prez Mike Helton told drivers he wanted to see "sunshine between the cars" in the corners (no bump drafting) - causing a less exciting, single-file race for the most part as passing became really difficult. Ryan Newman ended up ...on his roof in a spectacular crash, and took out several drivers on his way down. A surprising finish as Jamie McMurray (on his way out of Roush Fenway Racing after this year) took his first cup victory since 2007. Kasey Kahne and Joey Logano filled out the podium. Jimmie Johnson continues to lead the Chase - 184 points ahead of Mark Martin.Read More

Element of Speed Why is it that we always leave the racetrack so happy? After all, most people walk away with a sunburn that would make a cherry blush, that hotdog they ate is giving them heartburn, and someone spilled beer all over their new Dale Jr. T-shirt! Element of Speed's Summer Dreyer explores what keeps race fans coming back for more.

Busch led 137 of 200 laps. Mike Bliss and Dave Blaney took second and third, respe...ctively. A huge crash initiated by Leffler took out a chunk of the running order - check out the video of the crash linked below.Read More

Element of Speed The race is heating up in NASCAR Nationwide! Proof that the best fight isn't always for first place (with Kyle Busch comfortably in the lead), the closest competition in the league is for fifth place: between Steve Wallace and popular Rookie Justin Allgaier. Element of Speed's Amanda Vincent reviews the fight for fifth in her latest article, linked here.
