I'm working on replacing SageTV with EyeTV on a MAcMini Snow Leopard server. I'm using Itunes sharing to make the video's available throughout the house but the Exports to Itunes for the Clear Qam HD captures are without sound. The original recordings are perfect. They recorded on the very nice 250plus but the expor...ts to "Apple TV" are the problem. Non HD channels export just fine. I have the turbo.264 HD also installed. Oh sorry, I just saw your last note. The way it was explained to me is that the Turbo.264 HD software application is able to handle the Clear QAM multiple audio streams. Glad it worked for you.

Hi Dave, I'm afraid not. FreeView HD will be transmitted as DVB-T2, and there is no chip available for that.

Fred I also have an EyeTV Diversity.
I'm trying to access my recordings over local network. The iPhone is not picking it up even though it is enabled. Eyeconnectwatchdog and eyeconnect are NOT running in Activity monitor and I can't start them.
???

Hi Fred, there are few things you can try:

1) Make sure that the check-box beside each recording (the one called "iPhone" in the latest version of the software) is selected.
2) Make sure the Sharing & iPhone preferences are enabled.

Fred I have a Turbo.264 HD. I have a series of clips in a project in iMovie, with transitions, audio effects, music tracks and trimmings.
When I export using Turbo.264 HD every few frames become blocky like VGA resolution. I am exporting at 1080p 16Mb/s
Funnily enough, exporting using Quicktime then converting the resulting file takes only a little longer, but gives me a wonderful file.

I have an Elgato Diversity, I live in London and yet I receive no channels at all. Im running Snow Leopard with the latest software update! I have even set my Diversity to do an Exhaustive Scan and still nothing! I spoke to a representative from Elgato doing a business workshop at my local Apple Store and the only thin...g he explained to me is that "it's supposed to work" what am I to do? Hi Lawrence, I'm afraid not. The problem here is that your NTSC VCR won't play the PAL tapes, so even though the Video Capture can handle either type of VCR there will be nothing to record.

Hi Manny, I can think of 3 possibilities off the top of my head. First, check the input options in the Controls menu. Make sure you have selected the one that fits your setup (composite or S-Video). Second, it could be the cable. If your cable is uni-directional or "switchable", then the signal might not be getting to the EyeTV Hybrid. Try ... Read Moredifferent cables. Third possibility: If you connect your VCR with a co-axial cable to EyeTV Hybrid, you may need to run an exhaustive scan to find the VCR's signal. If none of those suggestions solve the problem, then please send a ticket to our technical support team.

It sounds like you need to correct the epg mapping for some channels. Sometimes the names and channel information isn't broadcast by the cable companies, so EyeTV can't identify them properly. This is particularly true of Clear QAM channels.

For those channels, you’ll need to go through them
manually and match them up with their names in the guide. It’s well worth the small effort, as you’ll end up with many more channels to watch.... Read More
