Leslie Wayne Gardner I first read the Historian 5 years ago. I found myself telling my wife about it as I was reading it. She can't read that well because of health issues. Then after I finished the book, my wife Brenda, asked me to read the book to her. That was great and the 2nd time I read it. I am now reading it for the fifth time and... I can't wait each night before I go to bed to read more. I read very slow so it takes awhile which is just fine. While reading it the first time I was listening to Zbigniew Preisner's "Double Life of Veronica" which became the soundtrack to the book. I can't wait for a movie version though I hope they can capture the amazing history, traveling, and creepiness of this great book. Oh, by the way, the Swan Thieves was so different and yet another great story. I can't wait for Your next book!! Duane.

Bob Snell I just finished The Swan Thieves. I really enjoyed it and just wanted to say thank you. I initially picked it up because it was about art, but I liked the historical tie-in with the impressionist period and the love aspects. The relationship between Beatrice and Olivier was very moving, despite their age difference (or maybe because of it). Keep writing!
