Rarely does the news of the government’s failures and abuses have such impact as to make one feel physically ill.  But the looming possibility that Canadian soldiers routinely arrested civilians in Afghanistan, on no evidence whatsoever, and turned them over to be tortured, made one ill. T...

I hope more people continue to put pressure on the government on this issue. There is no moral basis for Canadian Foreign policy at this time it appears.

I am just back from a climate change “indoor rally.”  I am still over-whelmed by the outpouring of energy and people who mobilized on a rainy Monday night in Victoria.   Over 1,000 people gathered in the Victoria Conference Centre to hear Dr. Andr...

Thanks for the code red link--excellent stuff. Let's keep writing the MPs and telling anyone who will listen (or won't listen). We can't afford to delay or compromise this time.

At the end of the rally I was left with a wonderful sense of hope, mainly due to the over 1000 people, who care as much as I do, that attended. Elizabeth, your speech was amazing and the standing ovation when you were finished attests to how much you are respected ... not so common in political circles. Together WE can accomplish so much!! Thanks again for coming to run in SGI.
ps good luck in Calgary

Love that Skype!!! Been using it for a couple of years now. Sure saves on the long distance calls. I'm surprised Telus hasn't complained to the government.

EVERYONE should be there! It's not about saving one more tree.. this is the *Earth* we're talking about here.. and humanity's future on it. If you don't believe in climate change, watch "the Age of Stupid". It is entirely based on facts and true documentaries. Climate change is happening *now*. Over 90% of scientists are in consensus, yet 60% of ... See Morepeople choose not to believe in it... And I get why--sure we want to keep leading our easy, excessive lives. But I don't think there's a choice here, and life should be fair for everyone on this planet, not some living in excess while others suffer.

*Please*, be there.

I am proud of the youth active in the Young Greens.  For that matter I am proud of youth engaged in any political party and in work in social movements --- whether Amnesty International, Engineers without Borders, Oxfam, Greenpeace, Sierra Youth Coalition, World Vision, Otesha, the list is long....
