Elk Falls Pottery is taking its annual Winter Break! Winter hours will start sometime in early January when I start practicing writing 2010 on the bottom of all pots!
Elk Falls Pottery Ahh... the final firing of 2009 is out and much of it already picked up! NOW I can get in the Christmas spirit! Thanks to you all for another great year and have a very merry Christmas with those you love.
Elk Falls Pottery has been busily working on catching up on all our accumulated orders. Unfortunately, we always seem to run out of days before we run out of "list." (Where are all those elves when you need 'em?)
Elk Falls Pottery Had a fantastic Open House last weekend! There were an estimated 1500 folks in town and I think they were all in the shop twice! Thanks to all who stopped by and made our 30th Annual such a success.

Elk Falls Pottery Two days till our Open House! Done throwing. Glazing, brushing, firing, painting (my new outhouse!). Then comes the big annual shop make-over (also known as CLEANING!) Jane starts baking tomorrow!

Elk Falls Pottery is gearing up for our annual open house. This is actually our 30th since we built our shop in 1980. Next year we'll be at the "new" shop at the Rock Garden!
Elk Falls Pottery Finished our 2009 Christmas mug design. It's the third and final edition in the O Holy Night series we started in 07.
Elk Falls Pottery After unloading my kid-sized wheel, we entered the parade promoting our annual open house and outhouse tour. Then starting around 11, I started helping kids make small pots and it didn't end till 6:20! Fun, but exhausting.

Elk Falls Pottery Acquired an interesting little treadle wheel and refurbished it this week. Taking it to the Elk River Festival tomorrow to let kids try it out - a dollar a throw!
Elk Falls Pottery Well, we survived yet another Walnut Valley Festival at Winfield. Actually, we love it, and have for the last 33 years in a row! The weather was absolutely gorgeous, the attendance was good, sales were a little off, but still very good. It's always great to see so many of our special friends and customers, and of co...urse the music was fantastic! If we added some new "fans," be sure to say HI. We couldn't do what we do without all of you!
