Ellen Lerner So, a friend of mine had an idea...since my hand is not 100% yet, would anyone actually pay to hear a night of acappella songs? It's okay if the answer is no, I'm not sure I would, just curious.....

One of my favorite quotes of his is: "I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?"

I'd have to say my favorite song of his is "working class hero" even though I can't really pick a favorite because they all touch me in so many ways...

He has to be one of my greatest influences!

I guess it it revolver. I didn't get hooked on the Beatles until later in life. I was on a NFTY trip when that album came out and all the kids wanted to buy it when we were in England, but I didn't want it. So MANY years later I did buy it. Meanwhile I latched on to a couple songs, like yesterday that I started to sing and as the years went on, I ... See Moregot to like the Beatles a lot more. I think it was the CRAZE that kind of turned me off at the time... I wasn't your typical teenager, I guess. LN (EL for short.)

I look forward to coming to your show & supporting u. I'd love to hear any Joni Mitchell & a cross of Lou Reed. Now I'm interested. I do know I saw Laurie Anderson about 4 years ago. Believe she & Lou Reed are living on a farm in upsate New Jersey. "Believe it or not" it's beautiful up there. Anyway, Laurie Anderson is my Girlie Girl & Joni Mitchell is one of her inspirations. Of course, I highly doubt "Laurie Anderson" would be on Facebook.

I missed that one on the Joni Mitchell contest. I believe the greatest =Troubled Child, the song hits home & makes me cry for it reminds me of when my parents used to argue. I'd lock myself in my room at eight or nine & just listen to all my albumns. All I had in my life were these great musicians with whom saved my life. And as Morrison stated "Music is your only friend until the end". Always there with me.

Ellen Lerner also, thinking of Joni and who she was influenced by; it was her love of that dark soliloquy that drew her to Shakespeare....not so much by the reading of him, as by the idea that the language should be "trippingly on the tounge, and also by the concept

Ellen Lerner Listening to Joni's "A case of You..." Her language is carefully balanced in the rhythm of the song. When asked once who she considered to be her peers she replied, "Dylan, Leonard Cohen....that's about it as far as lyricists go." This is her best and dar

so help me out with this. If an entire case of you would not even cause me to sit down, doesn't that mean that you're kind of watered down and coors light-y? i mean, if you were really my holy wine, wouldn't a small sip and a cracker be enough for a whole week?

school me oh, perfect breasted one.
