The Grand Auditorium Made-in-Maine Film Series!
BLUEGREEN
A film by Ben Keller, NR, 78 minutes

What is it about the ocean that pulls at us? There are obvious reasons, weather, livelihood, the fact that it's such a dominating presence on our planet. But there is something deeper. Songwriters, poets and novelists have expounded upon this myster...y for as long as there has been harp and printed word. But what do we really know about our deeper human connection with the Ocean? BlueGreen attempts to answer this question by sitting down with 13 surfers who have been lucky enough, passionate enough, dedicated enough or some combination of these to look deeper into our bearing with the ocean as humans.

The films director, Ben Keller, will be present to answer questions.

PARIS
A film by Cedric Klapisch, R, 130min, In French with English subtitles

Cedric Klapish, the beloved director of L’AUBERGE ESPAGNOLE, gathers together some of the biggest actors in French cinema for a valentine to the city of lights. While waiting for a heart transplant that could save his life, Pierre (Romain Duri...s) grows close again with his sister (Juliette Binoche) and her lively children. This rediscovery of his family and observation of the teeming streets outside his window give Pierre a new, hopeful sense of how he might spend the time still left to him. A cinematic love letter to the city that seems to hide a story behind every shop window, small alley, street market or grand apartment building, the film explores the life and love possible only in PARIS.
