One developer reports:
Ever had a client say "can you tell me who changed this record?" Or tried to debug data that is changing unexplainably? Or just trying to figure out how data got set? The answer is LogTools.

If you've never taken a look before, I *highly* recommend you check out LogTools from Business Brothers. Just open a log or point it at a folder of 4D backup logs and it will automatically parse all the transactions into a searchable, sortable list with detailed views. You can browse chronologically or by table, find a particular record and step through each change made one at a time - with the changed data highlighted. The newest version even has automated log processing available with email alerts. I've also used LogTools when trying to get a handle on a database that was inherited - I can perform an action in the program and then examine the log data to see what tables and fields get changed.
