Unfortunately the EFCA looks like another broken promise

American labor is in dire need of this union bill.

Unfortunately the EFCA has taken a back seat to healthcare reform. In actuality they go hand in hand. Workers rights and health care rights.

I'm tired too. I put in 60 hrs in four days. Ugh. And I'm still behind!!!

The labor leadership would seem to have changed the terminology to reflect the real nature of the process as a PR move--which is a good thing. But using the old term doesn't make one a Fox News fan. The EFCA is the best thing that will ever hapopen for the working individual. With the passage of this act, workers will NOT be subject to mass intimidation from non union bosses and the workers themselves decide if they want to be union or not. Go sister

there's so much to do now

A voice in the workplace, freedom from child labor, training, safety, vacations, sick pay, weekends off, all battles fought for by those in the labor movement. This ACT is nothing more than the country allowing a "level playing field" for those who value the basics of working men and women...everywhere!

Men and women DIED fighting for union reforms in the 30's. Let's honor their memory. Support the Employee Free Choice Act.

I applaud all the efforts and support the passing of the employee free choice act. I now belong to a union but only after being fired from my prior job for being associated with a campaign to organize. What I did was legal and what they did was not but the law and minor penalties they face for violating my rights is less than effective at ensuring ... Read Morethat my legal right to organize is protected. I see EFCA as a first step but still not enough. We have to take back control from the corporations that now run this nation. We must stand up and say enough.
