Employee Free Choice Act thanks Sen.-elect Franken for the shout-out yesterday:

Source: thehill.com
Franken promised progress on President Obama’s agenda and gave a special shout-out to his “brothers and sisters in labor. ”Those labor groups will be counting on him for their top initiative, the union-organizing Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), or card-check.

Employee Free Choice Act is reading a nice rebuttal to Big Business' arbitration hysteria. From American Rights At Work's spokesman:

Source: hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com
Earlier, we let Mark McKinnon, an adviser to the Bush administration, make a case against the arbitration argument used of late by supporters of the Employee Free Choice Act. Now, Josh Goldstein, a spokesman for American Rights at Work, pushes back against some of McKinnon's claims:

Brian, I agree with you. I have been trying to get my friends on board with this, and most of them are ill informed and/or don't care. We need to make this and a few other issues MUCH more important through some way or another. Something has to happen for them to wake up and see that the opposition to these bills is based on a slew of ... Employee Free Choice Act thinks mediation and arbitration are key provisions of itself. Why? Check it out:

Source: www.americanrightsatwork.org
Third-party mediators have long played a role in private sector collective bargaining negotiations, helping employers and employees come to agreements and avoid drawn-out, costly disputes.

Of course majority sign-up is a key provision. We just also need to set the record straight on mediation and arbitration. We think we have an opportunity to get ahead of the right wing spin on this one!

Awesome. I've been hearing rumors that it's going to be sacrificed in order to let the bill pass. PLEASE keep majority sign-up! :D

Employee Free Choice Act is checking out American Rights at Work's latest ad on the Employee Free Choice Act

Source: www.americanrightsatwork.org
Our latest arbitration newspaper ad - the second in a series - points out the hypocrisy of Big Business on arbitration. Many large companies are happy to support arbitration when it’s in their best interest.

You're right: we sure need Senator Specter's support. American Rights at Work just launched a page where you can watch video of him feeling the pressure from workers, and then send him a message:
