The Emporia Public Library is the oldest library in the State of Kansas in continuous operation. Since 1869 Emporia's library has grown with the city.

This is our 140th year as a library and our 30th year in the present building.

Emporia Public Library Ho Ho Ho will be heard on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 am at our annual Breakfast with Santa. Enjoy a visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus, our Storybook Tree, the Polar Express train, food, art projects, zoo docents, face painting, and special storytimes with Santa at 9:30 and 10:30. Bring your camera! Visit the museum too, for a fun family morning.
