Enter Kingdom

Enter Kingdom On my way to a House Church Summit in New Delhi, India, speaking on "the greatest trend affecting the church today". It is Kingdomization, as in de-democratization. This is usually easy to understand for anyone living in the non-western world; for people who grew up in the western world that perceives itself to be democratic, this is very hard to swallow. But Jesus will not wait for our vote on thies :-)

Enter Kingdom

Enter Kingdom The Kingdom of God has three fierce enemies. The Kingdom of self (its all about me), the Kingdom of us (we and our group are so great), the Kingdom of nationalism (our nation is better and more important than all others). If that is true, we need to embrace selflessness as our identity, walk away from all denominationalisms, and leave all nationalism and patriotism behind. What do you think?

I agree wholeheartedly. Those kingdoms -- self, us, and nationalism -- are the things we value before we go out into a field and suddenly discover the pearl of great price, thereby making those things immediately worthless! Once I tasted the Kingdom, that is the presence and power of Jesus Christ in my life, everything else lost value. For me the question is, how do I help others discover that pearl of great price when we're immersed in a comfortable life?

Enter Kingdom Jesus preached the Kingdom, and what came was the church. Where do we therefore begin?
