Equity
Key Note Speaker: Sam West, Equity Council

Equity is going back to basics to ask why subsidised theatre is important and what it should be delivering in a modern society.

Recent negotiations have demonstrated a significant gap bewteen the expectations of employers (TMA/ITC) and Equity members.

Equity is holiding open meet...ings and workplace discussions across the country to build a 'Manifesto for Theatre'; a coherent and coordinated response that represents members across the whole country.

Look out for meetings in your workplace and open meetings in the region.
We want to hear from as many members as possible!

It's a travesty, and people need to realise that passion does not equal payless! I am visual arts as well as an actor and constantly being ripped off because there is the incorrect assumption that the arts is something you do for love not money! If we were paid for every hour of research that we do alongside the hours classified as worked...if only I'd been good at football, oh and male lol
