If you’ve recently finished university or are soon to finish, you could apply to join our Graduate Program and work with us full time. From day one you’ll have responsibility, and be encouraged to set ambitious goals for your career. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and receive generous support to gain some post-graduate qualifications, including the Chartered Accountant qualification or a Master of Tax.

Please note that only Ernst & Young’s Adelaide and Perth offices offer the Vacationer Program during the winter university holidays. Our Vacationer program is a great way to experience the working world during your summer or winter university holidays. You could spend between two weeks and three months working across several different parts of our business. You’ll undertake induction, be trained on our systems and work with clients from various industries. Many vacationers are offered full-time positions with us when they’ve finished their studies.

You can also apply to join our University to Work Cadetship in Sydney in the first year of your degree, and our University to Work Cadetship in Brisbane in the first, second or third years of your degree. Why wait until you’ve graduated to join us? As a cadet, you’ll combine your university studies with real work, and gain invaluable experience that could see you return to us full time once you’ve completed your studies, and at a more advanced level than other graduates. You can choose to join us as a cadet straight from school in Sydney or Melbourne, or once you’ve started university in Sydney or Brisbane.

Once you’ve been studying for a couple of years you might want to work full time for a year to get some experience, or you might need to do a professional placement to fulfil the requirements of your degree.

Our Co-operative Year Placement (Co-op) program enables students from Victorian universities to work with us for between nine and twelve months before beginning their final year at university. As a Co-op, you’ll graduate a step ahead: after graduating you’re likely to be hired by Ernst & Young at a more senior level than that of your graduate peers.
