We only founf out about the village on Labor Day while at a party. Went there the next week , and were were there om Friday night. Newburyport can keep all it's fancy places ---- The food is so great at the Village!! I won't get clams at any other place from now on--I have been spending the last 50 Summers at Plum I...sland--these are the best clams in the area. And the 9-12 haddock dishes! WOW --I tryed to get the recipie for the Fall desert-you know the one, great rich spice cake (" p. spice bread " ) , topped with ice cream, and then the carmal sauce--but I found out the cook won't give the recipie to anyone. I will just have to keep trying to get the cake right on my own.
Can't waite to get back there!!

whole belly clams could have been the best I have ever had. And the
Onion rings could have been great also, but.......the after taste of
"dirty grease" was apparant at 1pm today Oct. 12th. I used to be a
seafood short order cook so this
opinion comes from experience, and I did not experience it anywhere
else in the Ports...mouth, Newburyport, Rockport restaurants over the last
3 days. Disappointed in Vermont.
Michael Bachand My wife and I had another GREAT meal at the Village Restaurant tonight. Our friends, who had never been really loved the food. It was nice getting to meet Kevin and Matt. Thanks to all for your great food and hospitality!
Village Restaurant The 3rd annual Tour de Bivalve rolled through town last Saturday: a small gathering of cycling comrades from near and far for a 40 mile bike ride followed by fresh local seafood and frosty adult beverages. Special thanks to Dave Kraus for the great photographs.

Michael Bachand My wife and I are coming up from Florida to visit family and will be eating at the Village restaurant on Wednesday, October 7th. Dining with us will be friends who've never eaten at the restaurant. Boy are they in for a treat! Can't wait!!!
